fall season review, part iii (the big one)Posted by blaque in fall 2009, series review, tags: 11eyes, anime, darker than black, fall review, first impressions, kimi ni todake, series analysis
I have been a bit busy this last week. Mostly have not been at the actual computer to sit and type this, although I can confirm I have been poking at it now and again. Honest. This is fun and it has a nice air of responsibility that I need. Anyhow, that all said, this will be the last major fall 2009 season review before going to the random episode commentary stuff such blogs tend to stick to. Why? Because it works damn it. This time will cover Sasameki Koto, Letter Bee, 11eyes, Kobato, Haruka Nogizaka’s Secret: Purezza, Kimi ni Todake and Darker than BLACK: Gemini of the Meteor. So pretty much doing in one post what I would of previously done in two. Bare with me folks, it shall be over soon. So between general not being home a lot this last week, Warmachien tournaments, practicing for Blaz Blue at Anime Banzie and trying to catch-up on things, thought a status report was in order. Right now working on my “Year in Review” presentation for Banzai and will in the next couple days (tomorrow at latest) have the last fall reveiw 2009 ready to go. After that, I have episode reviews for Kampfer, the last of Basquash and some other stuff along the way. This is all a lot more in-depth shit then I thought I’d be doing for this, but hell, its fun. Stay tuned folks. Sorry again for the delay. And stuff.

Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya a FilmPosted by blaque in haruhi suzumiya, tags: haruhi, news, rantSo the end of the rebroadcast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ended with a trailor for The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya film. In some aspects that’s neat. We get a movie, which means good animaiton from KyoAni above and beyond their normal round. We get the Disappearance arc, which I have been avoiding reading for hopes it would get animated. I still though, feel a bit screwed-over on this one, as I am sure many fans did. We wanted Disappearance to be teh new season. Now we have to wait another year (four years KyoAni? What the hell?) And for us American viewers, we have to wait longer for a decent DVD of the serieis, I bet to launch with some super-sepcial, “Let’s screw our Japanese customors” price that I notice anime tends to have. So yeah, color me a bi tmixed in opinion. Oh well. Complete ANN aticle here. And stuff. |
