FEB 2010 Facebook User Interface (UI) Changes

IF YOU ARE HERE LOOKING FOR A NEW WAY TO REVERT TO THE GOOD OLD INTERFACE LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

ALSO A NOTE OF WARNING ABOUT SEARCHING GOOGLE FOR REVERT METHODS AS THERE CURRENTLY APPEARS TO BE ZERO AS THE TIME OF THIS POST AND THE TOP SEARCH RESULTS ARE ALL FAKE ANTIVIRUS/MALWARE/PHISHING SITES.

Interface

It appears that Facebook who thinks that changes are great has given us another version of user interface changes. This version is inferior compared to the older version as they completely removed the the notifications and applications bar at the bottom.

My main complaint about the new interface is the removal of the bottom menu bar. Not only are applications no longer accessible from any page on Facebook except the mainpage, we no longer get the choice of rearranging the applications links we would want to see first and some unwanted applications links like the “Applications” and “Games” are now shoved down our throats.

Also gone is the ability to hover over the items in the top menu and have a drop down selection come up as we now have to click the item for the dropdown menu to appear. This makes the new UI unintuitive  and clumsy.

Finally notifications now feel sluggish as it seem to have its update intervals changed.
